Meanwhile iQIYI announced April 20 that most of its content will be AI-generated by 2031, unveiled Nadou Pro as end-to-end filmmaking toolkit, and launched controversial AI Actor Database connecting filmmakers with digital likenesses. The same week saw disinformation accelerate into “slopaganda” — low-quality, high-volume AI videos flooding social media during US-Iran tensions. Fake Trump hospitalizations, fabricated military strikes, Iranian embassy meme warfare, all carrying Google SynthID watermarks proving origin. When generation becomes this accessible, truth and fiction don’t just blur — they multiply faster than verification systems can process.

By dating the work 2055 and maintaining consistent near-future aesthetic across outputs, Valério builds coherent speculative timeline where viewers encounter what appears to be documentation from decades ahead. The work positions AI generation as science fiction methodology, treating the gap between present and generated image not as technical limitation but as conceptual space where futures get visualized before they arrive.

Each image investigates how the self remains recognizable even as environment, texture, and physical laws transform around it. The work asks: when you can generate any backdrop, any scenario, any impossible fusion of figure and pattern, what aspects of identity persist? The answer Georgiev provides through consistent return to her own face, her own body: selfhood as anchor point that remains constant while everything else liquefies into algorithmic possibility.

What emerges feels simultaneously like editorial fashion, speculative biology, and proposition about futures where cosmetic possibility extends beyond makeup and modification into generative hybridization.

The staging operates through careful ambiguity about what was captured versus what was generated. Figures photographed in natural light beside rivers, among trees, against sky suggest documentary basis. The floral elements appear physical enough to cast shadows, catch light, possess textural specificity. Yet their integration with body — eyelashes that transition seamlessly into petal formations, blooms that seem to grow from scalp rather than rest upon it — signals algorithmic intervention. The work doesn’t announce its seams. It maintains productive uncertainty about where photography ended and generation began, treating that ambiguity not as technical limitation but as conceptual foundation.

What distinguishes the practice from straightforward AI portraiture is insistence on botanical material as mediating element. This isn’t figure generation where flowers happen to appear as decorative detail. The flowers carry conceptual weight, functioning as primary site where human and algorithmic meet. They suggest organic computation, natural forms processed through digital systems that understand pattern, symmetry, growth logic well enough to convincingly integrate synthetic bloom with photographed body. The palette reinforces this: images favor whites, pale pinks, soft natural tones that emphasize delicacy while maintaining enough contrast to read structural detail in petal arrangement.

The work proposes futures where enhancement operates through nature-technology hybrid rather than purely synthetic means. Where the question isn’t human versus machine but how biological and algorithmic systems might integrate at level of appearance, where flowers function less as decoration and more as interface between body and generative capability. The young women photographed become demonstration of this possibility, their naturalness — river settings, soft light, casual poses — serving as ground against which floral augmentation registers as proposition rather than fantasy. The work asks: if AI can make petals appear to grow from skin convincingly enough to produce visual uncertainty, what becomes possible when we stop treating natural and synthetic as opposed categories and start treating them as compatible material vocabularies for constructing appearance.

What distinguishes the practice is refusal of straightforward product visualization. Georgiev positions bottles in impossible spaces, arranges packaging against backgrounds that shift from hyperreal to abstract, lights objects with the drama usually reserved for portrait photography. A skincare product becomes monumental sculpture. A beverage can occupies surreal landscape. Common items receive treatment suggesting they matter beyond their utility, that they carry symbolic weight or participate in unstated narratives.

The work mines commercial photography’s visual languages while subverting its functional purpose. These images could be advertisements if they weren’t so strange, could be still lifes if they weren’t so clearly about branding. Georgiev locates the surreal inside product culture itself, suggesting that consumer objects already operate as totems, already participate in symbolic systems that exceed their stated purpose. The AI doesn’t impose strangeness on ordinary things; it reveals strangeness already latent in how commodities circulate through visual culture.

The color palette tends toward jewel tones and moody atmospherics — deep blues, rich burgundies, emerald greens rendered with lighting that emphasizes volume and texture. Objects glow, surfaces reflect, materials announce their tactility even as they remain purely digital. What emerges is product photography reimagined as existential still life, where the commodity form becomes site for investigating how objects acquire meaning through framing, context, and the particular magic that occurs when something designed for use is instead contemplated as image.

All of this work was fully conceived, art-directed, and produced through generative AI as primary medium, with Georgiev’s directorial eye determining which outputs earn visibility and which remain in the generative archive.

Anna Condo | @anna.condo

Anna Condo treats the flower as site where biology dissolves into pure structure. The Armenian-born, France-raised artist approaches botanical subjects through AI not as botanical illustration but as investigation into what remains when organic form passes through algorithmic interpretation. From 2013 to 2022, her photographic practice positioned each bloom as portrait — alive, complex, insistent on presence. Since discovering generative tools in 2022, that same obsession relocated: the flower persists, but now filtered through systems that reduce petal to line, color to code, volume to vector.

What surfaces in her COLOR CODE series isn’t botanical accuracy but emotional cartography rendered through chromatic intensity. Blues sharp enough to feel cold. Golds laid over foliage like gilt on medieval manuscript. Tomatoes hanging among architectural linework that exposes the scaffolding beneath the image — not hidden, but visible as the structural logic organizing organic chaos. The wireframe grids, the geometric overlays, the technical drawing aesthetic: these aren’t glitch or artifact but deliberate exposure of how AI constructs illusion from mathematics.

Condo’s background in film and photography operates as directorial training applied to generative output. She describes the process as choreography, moving through iterations until something sparks — that quiet recognition signal indicating “that’s it, that’s me.” The work isn’t about technical mastery but sustained conversation with the machine, prompting and refining until algorithmic suggestion aligns with authorial intent. Each image functions as film still extracted from narrative that exists only as implication, characters and scenes assembled through color palette and compositional framing rather than literal depiction.

The flower persists across decades and media shifts because for Condo it carries the same contradiction she locates in human presence: fragile and fierce, ephemeral yet eternal. What AI enables isn’t replacement of photography but extension into territories where imagination previously remained unvisualized. The work stretches reality, she says, creating entire worlds that once lived only in her mind. The technical apparatus becomes medium for externalizing internal vision, translating intuition into image through collaborative negotiation with systems trained on collective visual history.

Where her floral photography positioned blooms as unapologetically feminine subjects deserving same attention as human portraiture, the AI work abstracts that femininity into pattern, texture, chromatic relationship. The subject remains constant. The investigation deepens. What does the flower become when processed through neural networks? What persists when organic complexity encounters digital reduction? The answer Condo provides: something that breathes differently but still breathes, beauty transformed but not diminished, presence relocated from physical to conceptual space yet somehow more vivid for having passed through the machine.

The constant reference to Eastern European science fiction — Tarkovsky, Stalker — isn’t nostalgic citation but visual grammar applied systematically. When he integrates generated elements with photographic base, the seam between captured and synthesized becomes visible not as technical error but as formal statement about the hybrid nature of contemporary image.

What makes the work formative isn’t explicit tutorials but sustained demonstration of cinematographic criterion applied consistently. Each piece functions simultaneously as autonomous visual object and as case study on how to maintain aesthetic coherence when production process combines traditional capture, editing, color correction and algorithmic synthesis. The chronological feed operates as implicit curriculum where education happens not through verbal explanation but through pattern recognition: observing how decisions about light, composition, timing persist regardless of whether the frame originates from sensor or generative model.

The proposition is that technical mastery of tools — analog or computational — remains subordinate to defined artistic vision. Krikunov doesn’t teach “how to use AI” or “how to make grunge aesthetic,” he teaches how to think cinematographically when the set can be physical or latent, when the camera can be optical or algorithmic, when the criterion for what constitutes compelling image remains constant while the means to produce it multiply.

The brief had no story. It had something better: the ingredients for one.

HumanX is one of the largest AI conferences in the world, from the same team behind Money20/20 and Shoptalk. San Francisco, April 2026. Theme for this edition: AI(llusions). They needed a teaser film to kick off the campaign and they came to us with a generous starting point: a fully developed brand identity. Colour palette running from deep navy to electric teal. A library of graphic elements they’d already commissioned: chrome cursors, flowers, hummingbirds, mushrooms, chess pieces, San Francisco landmarks. Video textures. Typography system. The whole kit.

What they didn’t have, and what no brand kit can give you, was the why. Why does a cursor live in the same world as a flower? Why is there a chess piece next to a mushroom? What story are these objects telling? Without that connective logic, the teaser would become what most conference teasers become: pretty elements drifting across a gradient. A screensaver with a logo at the end.

We were asked to find the story.

What we received: HumanX’s visual identity system for 2026. Strong elements, no narrative thread.

Three proposals, three worlds

We don’t present variations of the same idea. We present different films. Three concepts that share nothing except the client name. Each one a complete creative direction with its own logic, tone, and visual language. The client picks a world, not a shade.

The first one treated San Francisco as a body. Runners attacking the city’s hills. Cyclists climbing steep streets. Cable car cables pulling tight. A handheld, documentary-energy film built on the idea that innovation is physical—motion against gravity, HumanX as the summit where all that upward force converges. A24 meets Nike. No stages, no speakers, no event. Just preparation, build up, anticipation, ascent, and the city’s topography as visual rhythm. Match cuts between curves of streets, curves of cables, curves of human motion.

The second turned the city into a living museum. We mapped five iconic San Francisco artworks and proposed that they awaken, subtly, through 2.5D animation. Painterly parallax, preserved brush textures, dreamlike pacing. The premise was simple and true: before code, there were murals. Before algorithms, there were thinkers. HumanX as the next chapter in the city’s cultural scene and intellectual tradition.

The third proposal was different. Less literal, more symbolic. It didn’t look at San Francisco from the outside. It looked at the brand kit itself and asked: what if these elements already contain a story?

That was the one they chose.

Finding the story inside the elements

We spent time with the assets before touching any tool. Laid them all out on the MITO canvas. Looked at them not as graphics but as potential carriers of meaning. And a structure appeared.

The cursor is a choice. The most basic human gesture inside a digital system. A click. The moment before everything.

The chess piece is strategy. Not random chess—specifically the knight (non-linear thinking, the unexpected move) and the king (authority, the power centre). Intelligence operating inside rules.

The mushroom and the hummingbird are network. Underground growth, invisible connections, intelligence that surfaces and spreads where you don’t expect it.

The flower is what happens next. Emergence. What blooms when strategy meets network. Emotion, colour, life. The visible result of invisible process.

That four-beat progression became the spine of the film. Not imposed from the outside—discovered inside what HumanX already had. Their own elements, in the right order, told a story about how strategic intelligence becomes emergent life. Which is, when you think about it, a pretty good way to describe what happens at a great conference.

Act I — Choice.

A chrome cursor in the dark. The click before everything.

Act II — Strategy.

Cursors multiply. The chess knight appears. Then the first flowers press against the chrome, and the text reads: “something shifts.” The organic begins to overtake the geometric.

The only human element in the film. A hand placing the king. Strategy requires a human actor.

Act III — Growth.

A monarch butterfly lands on a chrome sphere. The word: “connections.” Then the garden explodes.

Act IV — Bloom.

Blue poppies, chrome hummingbird. Colour consumes the frame entirely.

The petals converge. Then the logo arrives—rendered in the same chrome as every other structural element. Not as a graphic overlay. As an object in the world. “This is.”

How it was made

No cameras. No 3D render pipeline. Every frame was generated inside MITO using AI image and video models, but the word “generated” misses the point. Every shot was directed. Composition, light logic, material consistency, narrative progression—all held together by art direction, not by technology.

The black background wasn’t an aesthetic whim. It turns every frame into a vitrine. Objects become specimens. Your eye goes to surface, to material, to the tension between things. It also solved a practical problem: visual coherence across four very different symbolic families.

The chrome finish connects everything structural—cursor, chess pieces, hummingbird, the logo itself. Silver with patina, reflective but not pristine. It reads as both technological and ancient. Colour enters the film only through nature: first the red-orange poppies, then the full spectrum, then the blue flowers and the chrome bird together. The colour arc mirrors the narrative arc.

The text stays minimal. Single words low in frame, almost subtitles to the image: “something shifts,” “connections,” “blooms,” “this is.” The film speaks with rhythm and material, not with copy.

Sound design layered atmospheric texture with precise material presence. Chrome had weight. Petals had breath. The score built from minimal to expansive, mirroring the bloom.

29 seconds

The feedback from HumanX was immediate. They loved it. No rounds of revision, no second-guessing. The symbolic system we built from their existing elements gave them something they hadn’t expected: not just a teaser, but a narrative framework. The cursor, the chess piece, the mushroom, the flower—each element now carries meaning that can extend to stage design, printed materials, social content, environmental graphics. The brand kit became a world.

When that logic is strong, the system generates outward. When it’s absent, you get motion graphics.

The blooming process applies to the work itself. First comes choice (which concept), then strategy (which symbolic system), then growth (production decisions accumulating in the dark), then the bloom—the film that feels inevitable rather than assembled.

Same process, every time. Different garden.

This week, the landscape of AI creation feels tectonic.

This week, the question of authorship sharpens into something almost tactile. AI doesn’t disappear into the background, it becomes the site where intention is tested. Where does the machine end and the stylist begin? Where does the art director’s eye stop and the algorithm’s suggestion start? The creators we spotlight this week don’t resolve that tension. They inhabit it, deliberately, and make it productive.

In fashion, surrealism stops being a mood board reference and becomes structural logic, rural symbols elevated into fable, objects reframed as totems. In visual design, luxury is dissected under laboratory conditions: cold, precise, and quietly addictive. In video, the uncanny takes the wheel entirely, lo-fi dread and absurdist montage as a new form of cinematic authorship.

The question persists across all three: when the tool is this powerful, what does it mean to direct it?

Alexia Sidibé works in the register of the intimate and the botanical, a space where romance is not a grand gesture but a breeze, where emotion lives in skin, in light filtered through leaves, in a figure caught mid-turn inside a garden labyrinth. The Paris-based art director brings a background in advertising, branding, and audiovisual production to images that feel, above all, like the beginning of a story that hasn’t announced itself yet.

Movement is her primary narrative tool — not action, but choreography. Hair lifted by wind, a body mid-rotation, a soft blur across a face before the camera settles. These are not fashion poses; they are states. The figure is always in something — thought, motion, a private moment that the image catches without disturbing. Selective focus and occlusion do the rest: branches, hair, diffused foregrounds that ask you to look through rather than at. Intimacy is constructed through obstruction.

The skin is real, tactile, lit with the softness of late afternoon sun through foliage. There’s no hyper production visible, what the images produce is closeness, not polish. Her collaborations with houses like Dior and her landmark work producing Vogue’s first AI-generated cover position her not as a technologist but as a narrator, one who happens to have found a new language.

What the images reveal is a sustained commitment to what might be called rural fable logic: a world where a red leather armchair belongs in a barn, where a turkey with a bow becomes a co-protagonist, where a cabbage field is as valid a backdrop as any studio cyclorama. The casting carries it hieratic presences, frontal gazes, expressions that offer nothing but demand everything. Emotion lives in the silence between pose and prop, not in the face.

The palette refuses warmth as comfort. Ochres, burgundies, butter yellows, and overcast greens, an autumnal register that feels European in its restraint, cinematic in its gravity. The work demonstrates that digital presence cannot simply be rendered; it must be extracted from the material archive of human movement, translated through choreographic intelligence into synthetic form.

The images reveal this process as fundamentally dialectical. High-contrast monochrome compositions isolate bodies in states of tension and release; hands reaching through dimensional thresholds, silhouettes multiplied against cosmic fields, figures caught in the paradox of simultaneous dissolution and crystallization. This is not motion capture in its utilitarian sense but rather what Déri identifies as “soul-mapping”: the transfer of corporeal knowledge into algorithmic substrate.

The work’s theoretical provocation lies in its insistence on discipline as generative constraint. STARTING WITHOUT DIRECTOR

If you already have a concept in mind and want to work by hand, the canvas is yours.

1. Create a new text block and write your concept

2. Create another for your script

3. Name both clearly—this matters

Why does naming matter? Because when you eventually ask Director to generate a storyboard, it will reference these elements by name. A concept called “concept” and a script called “script” become anchors the system can find.

GENERATING THE STORYBOARD

Once your concept and script are ready, Director can build the storyboard automatically.

Ask it directly:

“Create a storyboard with this concept and by this script.”

Reference the names you gave your elements. Director will generate the full storyboard in order, respecting the narrative structure you’ve established.

From there, you can edit freely: change the narrative, adjust durations, duplicate frames, reorder shots. The storyboard is not a fixed document—it’s a working space.

BUILDING CHARACTERS AND LOCATIONS

Consistency is the hardest thing to achieve in AI-generated filmmaking. MITO is built around preserving it.

For characters:

• Generate reference images showing multiple angles: front, back, profile

• Include clothing, posture, lighting conditions

• Group these images and name the group (e.g., “Character_Elena”)

When you generate new scenes, you can reference this group directly. Director will maintain identity across shots.

For locations:

• Same principle: generate multiple views of the same space

• Name and group them

• Reference them when prompting new scenes

The logic is simple: if Director knows what “Character_Elena” and “Location_Warehouse” look like, it can place them together without drifting.

PROMPTING WITH INTENTION

MITO provides prompt helpers for:

• Lenses and aperture

• Aspect ratios

• Shot types and angles

• Lighting conditions

You don’t need to memorize these. When you’re in the editor, you can change them directly:

“Create this scene with soft golden light, 35mm lens, medium close-up”

The system translates your direction into visual continuity.

SELECTING FOR PRODUCTION

As you iterate, you’ll generate multiple versions of the same shot. Some will work. Most won’t.

To keep track:

• Right-click on the images you want to keep

• Select “For production”

These marked assets appear in My Assets within the storyboard view. From there, you can drag them into place and begin assembling the edit.

FROM IMAGE TO VIDEO

Once you have a frame you like in the Storyboard, turn it into video with one click.

In the Storyboard you’ll find movement helpers: depth and parallax, energy and pacing, environmental motion.

You can also add audio—voice, sound effects, music—directly within the same workspace.

EDITING AND EXPORTING

The storyboard becomes the timeline. You can:

INTRODUCTION

Creating an avatar, the further you go in defining its personality and behavior, the smoother your application and creative process will be across mediums and projects.

Showing who your avatar is beyond physical appearance, as well as understanding their style (how they dress, how they wear their hair) where they would move, how they would behave, and what they would be interested in, ensures stronger and more consistent outputs.

STEP 1

Start by defining the physical features of your character, then generate a range of poses from different perspectives. Here is a prompt example:

Young woman with light olive to warm beige skin tone, clear and even complexion with subtle natural texture. Face is oval with soft symmetry, gently defined cheekbones, and a smooth jawline. Eyes are large, almond-shaped, light green with golden undertones; gaze calm, direct, and self-possessed. Eyebrows are dark brown, full, naturally arched, and well defined without sharp angles. Nose straight and proportionate, neither narrow nor wide. Lips medium-full with a soft cupid’s bow, natural rose-pink tone, relaxed closed expression.
Hair is deep chestnut brown, long and voluminous, styled in loose, defined curls with a natural sheen. Hair is center-parted, framing the face evenly; curls are soft and controlled rather than frizzy, with consistent wave structure from mid-length to ends.
Overall appearance reads as elegant, composed, and contemporary. Expression neutral with a slight softness, conveying quiet confidence rather than overt emotion. Presence feels editorial and timeless, understated rather than stylized, with a natural beauty emphasis over dramatic features.

Multiple poses and perspectives teach the system how the character exists in space, ensuring stability across actions, angles, and scenes.

STYLE

Then, establish their style by creating a moodboard that defines how the character dresses, moves, and is perceived.

INTEREST

Later on, select a few key interests to shape the character’s behavioral path, guiding how they act, react, and make decisions across contexts.

Defining these elements early on is essential to character continuity. Physical structure grounds the character visually, allowing them to remain recognizable across angles and situations. Style extends that identity beyond anatomy, shaping presence, tone, and perception. Interests introduce intention, guiding behavior and decision-making. When these layers work together, the character stops behaving like a set of isolated outputs and begins to operate as a coherent, continuous identity across projects and mediums.

Crafted Stories is our ongoing publication series an inside look at the making behind select MITO Films projects, and the craft decisions that shape them as they’re built inside MITO AI.

Some briefs arrive with months of runway. This one arrived with fifteen days and a broadcast deadline but a clear vision that we truly enjoyed crafting.

The call came through Supervial, the agency managing Movistar’s creative pipeline. The ask: a flagship 30-second spot for the Christmas campaign, plus digital adaptations across formats and sports verticals. The concept had already been seeded—a traditional Spanish nativity scene that comes alive, its ceramic figures transforming into miniature athletes playing on the Movistar desco. Full creative freedom on execution. No logos or real athletes in production. Broadcast-ready by mid-December.

We were asked to build the entire visual universe from scratch: light, texture, character design, environment, animation, sound design, and voice direction. One campaign system to hold NBA, NFL, football, tennis, golf, Formula 1, and MotoGP. One living room. One nativity. One desco pulsing blue.

SETTING THE FILE

We started by setting the file. Inside MITO, every asset lived on one canvas: the brief, Movistar’s brand guidelines, reference images of the desco hardware, the agency’s initial concept notes, and our research into Spanish nativity traditions. Early style tests, character sketches, environment options, and sport-specific scene breakdowns accumulated on the same surface.

The file became the production bible.

RESEARCH AS DIRECTION

Movistar’s challenge was perceptual: viewers associated the brand with content losses rather than content abundance. The campaign needed to communicate that all sport lives in Movistar—without listing channels, without lecturing. The nativity metaphor carried the weight: a familiar domestic object that suddenly reveals hidden life.

Direction began with material research. We studied Spanish belén traditions—the ceramic textures, the terracotta tones, the specific character archetypes (Reyes Magos, pastores, animals, the caganer). We pulled references from contemporary miniature artists whose figures balance craft imperfection with expressive gesture. We watched Toy Story not for style but for physics: how small figures move in a scaled world, how light behaves at macro distances, how stillness precedes motion.

From there we translated themes into workable film grammar. The desco became the stage, its blue light the animating force. The living room became a stadium. The nativity figures became athletes—but athletes who retain their ceramic souls. We mapped each sport to a character type and a micro-environment carved from the nativity itself: musgo as turf, the portal arch as goalpost, the desco edge as racetrack.

MOODBOARD AS WORLD-BUILDING

The moodboard stopped being a collage and became an operational map. We combined real references—photographs of artisan belén figures, macro photography of ceramic surfaces, Pixar’s lighting studies—with stills we generated inside MITO to test the universe early and keep exploration rights-clean.

Everything was organised as a system:

The living room as grammar: warm night light, Christmas tree glow, furniture arranged to frame the desco as focal point. The palette combined terracotta, gold, and deep shadow with Movistar’s signature blue as the single cool accent.

The figures as constraint: every character had to read as ceramic first, athlete second. Texture stayed consistent across transformations—the basketball player and the shepherd shared the same surface quality. Costume changes happened; material identity did not.

The desco as magic source: the blue light emanating from the hardware became the visual trigger for transformation. When it pulses, the figures stir. When it glows steady, the games play. When it dims, stillness returns.

The first stills made the direction immediately legible. Approval became a simple test: does this feel like a nativity that dreamed of sport, or like sport dressed as nativity?

CREATIVE PROPOSAL

One central idea: the stadium lives in the living room. The nativity is the delivery mechanism—familiar, warm, slightly humorous—but the payload is emotional: every match, every play, every championship moment happens here, at home, through Movistar.

The spot treats transformation as revelation. The camera stays close, observant. Movement is small and precise—a figure’s hand shifts grip, a head turns, weight transfers. The action beats are quick but clear: a basketball mate, a touchdown catch, a goalkeeper dive, a tennis serve, a car rounding the desco. Each gesture lasts seconds. The accumulation builds the argument: all of this lives here.

Black-and-white was never an option; this is a Christmas spot, and warmth is mandatory. But we kept the palette restrained—gold and amber dominant, blue reserved for the desco and its reflections. The contrast between warm ceramic and cool technology became the visual thesis.

The humour arrived through the caganer. The traditional Catalan figure—trousers down, squatting—became our goalkeeper, face frozen in perpetual surprise. The client approved immediately. Some traditions translate better than others.

SCRIPT AND STORYBOARD

We wrote the spot as beats, not shots. Each beat carried a job: establish space, introduce stillness, trigger magic, deploy sport, interrupt, return, close.

The storyboard became the contract. Every frame specified: environment state, character position, light behaviour, camera distance, sport represented, space reserved for future logo placement. The last point mattered—we knew logos would arrive late, so we designed frames with clear negative space for post-integration.

We presented the storyboard to Supervial and Movistar. Three rounds of iteration followed—adjusting character count, confirming sport hierarchy, refining the interruption beat. Just like it would be in a regular production. Approval came and w moved on into the next step.

PRODUCTION SYSTEM

With approval locked, production followed. We generated the clips inside MITO, integrating the appropriate video models for each scene type. Coherence held across shots: the same living room persists, the same ceramic texture stays stable, palette and light behaviour remain consistent where space is shared.

We worked sport by sport. Each discipline received its own lane before image production:

Basketball: Two figures, one active (mate), one static (defender). Jersey numbers evocative but non-specific—no Jordan 23, no Celtic 33. NBA logo reserved for post.

Football: Striker and goalkeeper. Colours balanced to avoid club association. Champions League-style ball, portal arch as goal. Caganer in net, expression locked in comic terror.

NFL: Single figure in dark gear, Patriots-adjacent but legally distinct. Spiral catch in slow motion. NFL logo space held in frame corner.

Tennis: Female figure, serve motion, racquet and ball clear. Net implied by desco edge geometry.

Golf: Female figure, swing follow-through, club and ball visible. Terrain reads as miniature fairway.

F1/MotoGP: Car and motorcycle sharing track around desco perimeter. Movement fast, logos absent—integration planned for post.

The edit favoured rhythm and legibility. Each sport beat lasted long enough to register, short enough to keep momentum. Transitions used light—blue pulse as wipe—rather than cuts.

SOUND DESIGN AND VOICE DIRECTION

MITO produced the complete audio package. The score layered Christmas warmth—strings, piano, soft bells—with distant stadium echoes. The contrast reinforced the concept: domestic intimacy containing athletic magnitude.

Sound effects stayed small-scale. Ceramic-on-wood contact. Soft thuds of miniature balls. The blue light had its own sonic signature—a gentle hum that rose during transformation and settled during stillness.

Voice direction happened remotely. The voice-over artist (Irene Montalà) recorded from her studio while we directed via online. Her delivery landed the brief’s tone: warm, conspiratorial, as if sharing a secret about the living room’s hidden life.

POST-PRODUCTION AND LOGO INTEGRATION

The rights constraint shaped the entire production logic. No real logos, no real athletes, no real team colours could appear in generated footage. This was non-negotiable—intellectual property restrictions were absolute.

But the final spots needed logos. NBA. NFL. LaLiga. Champions League. Formula 1. MotoGP. The client remained undecided on final logo placement throughout production. Decisions arrived after picture lock.

We solved this with AI-assisted post-production inside MITO. The same tools that let us remove unwanted elements from footage let us integrate logos after the fact. We placed NBA marks on the desco surface during basketball beats. NFL shields appeared on jerseys in the football americano sequence. Competition logos settled into frame corners during sport-specific cutdowns.

The process inverted traditional production logic. Instead of planning around fixed assets, we designed flexible frames and populated them later. The technology made the client’s indecision survivable.

ADAPTATIONS AND DELIVERABLES

The 30-second master spawned a family of formats:

15-second versions developed micro-narratives within the same universe—single-sport stories with setup, action, and return. Each maintained the living room frame and desco-as-stage logic.

6-second bumpers stripped to pure impact: one sport, one gesture, one pulse of blue light, logo and tagline.

Sport-specific versions isolated NBA, NFL, football, tennis, and motor sequences for targeted media buys. Each version felt native to its vertical while remaining visibly part of the campaign system.

Platform entertainment versions swapped sport for streaming logos—Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Movistar Plus+—using the same transformation mechanic. The nativity figures gathered around the desco to watch screens instead of play games.

What stayed with us after this case: a visual universe gains force when restrictions become grammar. The logo prohibition shaped every frame—and made the post-integration feel inevitable rather than patched. Speed matters when it preserves coherence; fifteen days forced decisions that might have drifted across fifteen weeks.

The caganer goalkeeper will outlast the campaign in our memory. Some briefs arrive like dares. This one arrived like an invitation to make ceramic figures play sport on a router. We enoyed it .

Carlota’s connection to MITO started in June 2025, through research. She was preparing a class on AI applied to fashion for a master’s in communication, marketing, and luxury fashion. She was looking for examples that treated AI as a serious audiovisual language, not as novelty.

That search led her to MITO’s piece for Lagaam. What caught her attention was not only realism. It was structure. Real garments translated into a coherent spot, with narrative continuity and visual discipline. She used it as a case study. Then she stayed close.

A few months later, Danny reached out to show her an early version of MITO’s video tool. She tested it and recognized something that rarely appears in the AI fashion space: a system designed from filmmaking logic. It did not behave like an experimental playground. It behaved like a production environment.

Soon after, MITO Universe launched. For Carlota, the premise landed instantly. A platform where AI generated work could be shared in a curated, professional context, with the community layer built into discovery. She joined from the beginning, because the space felt aligned with the direction she wanted the field to take.

L’APPAREL BY CARLOTA SELLER

A fashion film for Repetto, built inside MITO AI

Some fashion films sell a product. Others protect an atmosphere.

Carlota Seller’s L’Appel belongs to the second lineage. A minimal set, a disciplined palette, a body held in restraint. Pink knit against red tights. Red lipstick as punctuation. A red telephone that reads like a narrative device rather than a prop. The film never over explains itself. It composes.

This is the kind of work that becomes legible through process by carrying intention.

FROM BRAND RESEARCH TO A CONCEPTUAL FASHION FILM

Carlota begins the same way she would in any traditional project. She studies the brand deeply, its history, its codes, its imaginary. With Repetto, the cultural anchor is clear. The brand is inseparable from dance, from footwear designed for the body in motion. Over time, that heritage leaves the stage and enters the everyday. The ballet flat becomes an icon that carries both function and mythology.

From that foundation, she developed a conceptual fashion film, not commercial, as an exercise in creative direction. The subject is the relationship between product, body, and movement, using AI as a tool inside a complete audiovisual workflow.

This is where her process becomes the point.

She does not start by generating random stills and hoping a story emerges. She starts by defining a world that can hold a story, then she builds images that already behave like shots.

THE SET IS THE NARRATIVE

L’Appel is built on a controlled emptiness. A pale wall, a blue carpet, a chair that frames the body like a sculptural constraint. The styling becomes a single sentence in two colors. Pink and red. Softness and insistence.

The objects are chosen with the same seriousness as casting, none of them are decorative. They function as narrative operators. They tell the viewer how to read the scene. They locate the work inside a lineage of fashion imagery where gesture, composition, and silence do the heavy lifting.

ALWAYS THINKING IN MOTION

Carlota’s method is strict about one thing: every still is generated with video in mind.

That changes the entire relationship with the frame. The image stops being a final artifact. It becomes a unit in a sequence. Lens choice, framing, shot type, and lighting are decided like production decisions, because they are.

This is one of the reasons MITO fits her workflow. The tool allows her to define parameters that feel native to cinema language, and that control is what makes coherence possible across multiple shots.

STORYBOARD AS THE HINGE

In Carlota’s case, the storyboard is where the piece becomes a film.

She values MITO’s storyboard system because it forces narrative thinking: scene order, duration, rhythm, and transitions. It is the difference between animating images and building a story.

She starts generating video from frames that were designed to move. Then she adjusts pacing and transitions until movement carries meaning rather than decoration.

EDITING INSIDE THE SAME ENVIRONMENT

The last step is the one most AI workflows still struggle to treat as integral: edit.

Carlota finishes inside MITO. Concept, stills, storyboard, motion, final assembly. A single environment that keeps narrative continuity intact and removes the typical friction of jumping between tools.

That continuity changes how she thinks about AI video. She no longer starts from still images and adds motion later. She conceives the project as audiovisual from day one, with rhythm, narrative, and its own language.

Fashion is one of the fields most exposed to AI’s tendency toward sameness. When generation becomes effortless, the culture fills with images that resemble each other because they share the same shortcuts.

L’Appel demonstrates authorship that uses AI as infrastructure, not as aesthetic. A film built from concept, constraints, production thinking, and editorial control.

That is the shift MITO exists to enable.

Christian’s relationship with MITO began before it had a finished shape. Back then, it felt like an initiative with a clear ambition: give creators real visibility and build an honest space for inspiration, with the noise stripped out. He followed from the start. The newsletter became a quiet constant, a stream of references and learning that actually rewarded attention.

For him, the arrival of MITO Universe was not a pivot. It was the next logical step. A place to share work with calm, to connect with people who carry similar sensitivity, and to grow inside an environment that treats participation as culture, not as a metric. He has been working with generative AI for almost four years. Still, he had not seen a platform put this much focus on visibility, community, and collective growth.

WHAT HIS WORK EVOKES, FOT THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER MET IT

Christian’s portfolio looks diverse at first glance. Portraiture, product, fashion, macro, documentary light, studio black. Then the pattern reveals itself: an obsession with the point where an image stops being “a picture” and becomes a system of meaning.

Two impulses run through the work, almost in dialogue. One is tactile and human: skin, fabric, folk pattern, grass, age, the gravity of lived faces. The other is engineered: mechanisms, optics, industrial surfaces, precision objects held like evidence. He moves between them with the same discipline, as if the real subject is not genre, but control.

There is a recurring fascination with the interface. Mask as identity technology. A hearing device as a small future embedded in flesh. A lens held in tweezers like a relic of perception. A rope knot and carabiner framed as choreography. Even when the frame is quiet, it carries premise. The image feels cinematic because it is structured like a thought.

What ties everything together is how he treats detail. Close ups behave like arguments. Textures become narrative. Materials carry ideology. The frames ask the viewer to read, not just look. Variety lives on the surface. Rigor is the constant.

NARRATIVE FIRST, CURATION AS A HABIT

Christian begins with story. Always.

Curation, for him, is not decoration. It is training the eye, building a personal visual archive, defining a clear art direction, and deciding what the viewer should feel when they meet the piece. The image is never the goal. The image is the consequence.

When the concept is strong enough, the frame speaks on its own, but it speaks with intention.

That is also why MITO fits his process. Because MITO rewards systems. It rewards decisions. It respects the fact that craft lives before the render.

THE MOMENT IT CLICKED

During the Christmas period, Christian became one of the first to test the tool. He knew immediately it was a game changer. WHAT HER WORK EVOKES, FOT THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER MET IT

Laura’s images live in a register where nothing raises its voice. They arrive with daylight and restraint. A bathroom with clean tile. A pale blue garment hanging like a note. An empty room with blinds filtering the afternoon. A metallic object on wrinkled sheets. Hair pinned with a clip that feels more like a tool than decoration…

It reads as ordinary for half a second, then the frame tightens.

Her work is less a “style” than a cultural temperature. A cinema of containment, a kind of visual discipline that appears when noise becomes too expensive in attention, identity, energy. In an era of infinite image, she works with negative space and pauses, with the sense that we’re looking at the moment right before something happens.

The light clarifies.

Intimacy becomes architectural. Bodies appear as punctuation, never spectacle. Objects carry the weight of evidence. The palette behaves like material: off-white, steel, powder blue, blind-grey, skin without drama. The result is clean, tense, resolved in composition, unresolved in story. The frame holds, and the meaning stays slightly open.

WHY MITO FITS HER WORK

Laura builds through seeing. She needs volume: many images, references that can speak to each other, and a story that forms gradually as relationships between frames start to lock.

MITO UNIVERSE CREATIVE SPOTLIGHT: Laura López | @laloto

Looking at Laura López's MITO Universe portfolio, we encounter a body of work that operates at a fascinating threshold between classical aesthetic concerns and the emerging grammar of AI-generated imagery. Where last week we examined her fashion film for Gimaguas as a meditation on collapsed production time, these new images present something more architecturally complex: a sustained investigation into how machine vision constructs what we might call the "interior life" of objects and spaces.

Her metallic vessels evoke modernism and heritage craft, yet exist only as synthesized forms; objects with weight and detail, untouched by manufacture. The figures she generates carry a softened, dreamlike quality, posed in profiles and inward gestures that echo traditional portraiture while acknowledging their synthetic origin. These images suggest a kind of posthuman naturalism, where presence is implied rather than embodied.

Laura stages everything within restrained, minimalist environments; curtains, bare rooms, muted architectural backdrops; that recall Constructivist spatial experiments. Here, however, the spaces feel like future ruins: clean, detached, shaped by aggregated visual culture. What sets Laura apart is her commitment to restraint. She avoids spectacle, allowing small inconsistencies; light behaving strangely, textures slipping at the edges; to surface as part of the work’s texture. Her practice treats AI as a material with seams.

The result feels less like demonstration than inquiry: still life, portraiture, and interiors made unfamiliar again, revealing how image-making shifts when synthesis replaces capture.

Riccardo’s AI work dismantles the very categories his photographic practice claims to synthesize. Where his street-fashion photography promises “meaningful details” as “gateways to the soul,” these images reveal detail as pure surface; a decorative imperative severed from indexical truth.

The ballet tutus transformed into architectural forms, the floral-helmeted skier, the frozen orchid; each constitutes what we might call detached ornament: excessive decoration liberated from its host body. These aren’t portraits but studies in formal displacement, where the subject dissolves into its costume, into pure aesthetic possibility. The figures wearing voluminous fabric flowers become less human than sculptural armatures for textile experiments.

Most revealing is the friction between Romani’s stated philosophy and AI’s actual operations. His photographic ethos depends on the decisive moment, the authentic encounter between lens and subject in urban space. But AI images emerge from statistical aggregations across millions of photographs; they exist in what we might call averaged time, a collapsed temporality that renders street photography’s contingency impossible.

The ice-encased flower and hand-held soccer ball operate as allegories of this condition: preservation through freezing, monumentality through stasis. They suggest AI imagery as fundamentally necrophilic; feeding on photography’s corpus to generate perpetually novel yet essentially derivative forms. The question becomes whether Romani recognizes this productive contradiction or merely reproduces luxury fashion’s existing AI aesthetics.

Carlota Seller’s L’APPEL - THE CALL interrogates the threshold between discipline and desire, between the regimented geometry of ballet and the ambient circulation of fashion’s everyday. Created with the MITO AI tool, this conceptual fashion film traces Repetto Paris back to its balletic origins; not as nostalgic return, but as a meditation on gesture’s afterlife.

What remains when movement leaves the stage? Seller proposes that the ballerina shoe carries within its form a kind of kinetic memory: the rehearsal’s repetition, the body’s training, the lightness that is never natural but always achieved. Through AI-generated sequences, the film suspends these gestures in an aesthetic present tense, where a phone call becomes arabesque, where sitting transforms into performance, where red tights inscribe the body as both subject and sign.

The MITO AI framework allows Seller to work at the intersection of fashion photography’s editorial grammar and cinema’s durational logic. Here, AI doesn’t simulate reality but constructs a parallel space; one where Repetto’s design philosophy (discipline translated into wearability) finds its visual corollary in images that are simultaneously precise and dreamlike, grounded and floating.

Seller’s practice exemplifies how AI expands creative direction beyond representation toward speculation: What if fashion already is choreography? What if every step carries the stage within it?

Some briefs arrive like a production schedule. This one arrived like a dare.

A LinkedIn message landed with a single premise: ten years of Azulejos de Corales. A merch drop to reopen the record’s visual life. Total creative freedom. Very little time.

We were asked to mark the tenth anniversary of Azulejos de Corales by Dellafuente and relaunch its presence with a film that would carry a substantial merch drop. The brief needed one piece with enough gravity to reframe his visual codes and introduce the entire release in a single gesture. Full creative freedom. Tight timing.

Three T-shirts, one hoodie, a blanket, earrings, small objects, plates, and a new vinyl edition. One film to hold them all.

SETTING THE FILE

We started by setting the file. Inside MITO, every asset lived on one canvas: the brief, past sleeves and clips, lyric notes, style guidelines, vector symbols, palette and type tests, and the full merch lineup. Research, writing, and early generation stayed on that same surface, so decisions could accumulate without drift.

RESEARCH AS DIRECTION

Dellafuente’s work is rooted in Granada. Tradition sits beside restrained electronics. The writing observes family and neighbourhood. His iconography returns to Nazarí geometry, stars, lunar signs—codes of belonging. That archive set the frame.

Direction began with research. We built the moodboard inside MITO: sleeves and clips re-watched, lyrics parsed, past campaigns and styling revisited. From there we translated themes into workable film grammar—objects, locations, textures, camera propositions. We mapped light, material and architecture, then generated the first stills to clarify the horizon and keep rights frictionless. The client recognised the territory and green-lit the path.

From that point, we stopped leaving the file. One operational sentence held the project together: ten years, same courtyard. The Alhambra wasn’t reference; it was a rule system. The courtyard became the operating logic—architecture that decides gesture, light, proportion, matter.

MOODBOARD AS WORLD-BUILDING

The moodboard stopped being a collage and became a world map built inside MITO. We combined real references from photography and cinema, including Cristina García Rodero and Pierre Verger, with stills generated by us to test the universe early and keep exploration rights-frictionless. Everything was organised as a system: the patio as architecture and grammar, materials as meaning, late light as a rule, and Nazarí motifs, geometry, stars and lunar signs as disciplined codes of belonging rather than decoration. The first stills made the direction immediately legible and turned approval into a simple test: does this belong to the patio or not.

CREATIVE PROPOSAL

One central idea: ten years, same courtyard. The courtyard acts as a fixed space with memory. The film treats it as ritual, not décor. Black and white collapses time; present gestures arrive with archival weight. The camera stays composed and observant. Movement appears only when intention calls for it. Objects carry jobs in frame—stone to measure, fabric to shelter, tile to mark, metal to reflect. Repetition builds permanence; slight variation signals lived time. Music sets pulse without dictating meaning. Identity holds because the rules hold: you can enter from many angles and still recognise the world.

SCRIPT AND STORYBOARD

Once the world was approved, we wrote the film as beats, not shots. We wrote the script—scene by scene, second by second. Action, place, cast, the exact merch that breathes in each shot. Every beat became a frame that prefigures the film. The storyboard consolidated the contract: representative image, description, camera position, light behaviour. Clear agreement between intention and execution.

PRODUCTION SYSTEM

With approval on the table, production followed. We generated the clips in MITO and integrated the appropriate video models. Coherence held across shots: the same character persists, the same location stays consistent, palette and texture remain stable where space is shared. The edit favoured rhythm and legibility.

Then we worked product by product inside MITO. Each SKU received its own lane before image production: keychain, vinyl, tees, hoodie, blanket, pins, plates. For every item we defined its role in the film, its hero moment, and how it behaves in frame. We tested how a logo sits on cloth, how metal catches late light, how tile patterns hold close focus. That pass gave generation clean context: what appears, where it appears, and under which conditions it stays true. The storyboard inherited those decisions and kept them stable across scenes.

Symbolism and craft run through the film without ornament. Monochrome pulls attention toward matter and gesture. A rhythmic score sustains solemnity. The images carry an atemporal nostalgia—memory updating itself without losing root. Stone, fabric, tile become vehicles of identity in dialogue with contemporary design.

Textiles move like standards: fringe, iconographic embroidery, flowers and stars under the DELLAFUENTE name. Hands work plaster and stone; brushes reveal relief and texture. Mudéjar arches and mosaic floors fold design into architecture until the world is built from primary materials, not styling.

Cinematography leans on firm contrast. Natural light enters through arches and openings, sculpts worn surfaces, models relief, clarifies each object. Monochrome heightens roughness in stone, softness in cloth, precision in engraving. Composition uses symmetry and architectural frames to grant ceremonial presence.

The final shot opens a door. A blade of light enters. Workshop becomes apparition.

Technically, the backbone is perimeter control. MITO enforces a visual bible with operative rules: camera range, light logic, grain density, object semantics. Variants are evaluated against those rules and returned with context. The system keeps memory of versions, comments, approvals, and licenses on the same working surface. Consistency arrives through process, not late correction.

What stayed with us after this case: a visual universe gains force when symbol and use share stable rules. Criteria scales when conditions are explicit and deviation is measurable. Speed matters when it preserves the artist’s calligraphy. Same courtyard becomes a policy of continuity—structure carrying memory forward.

The week moved forward without spectacle, yet its shifts were unmistakable. Tools refined themselves. Systems grew more responsive. Attention drifted away from display and toward the quiet mechanics of making; how work is assembled, sustained, and carried through time. AI receded into the background, present as an underlying condition rather than a headline.

A common sensibility runs through these developments: an awareness of tempo. The most resonant work understood when to wait. Meaning stayed enclosed, held in place by form, pressure, and care. In a culture driven by immediacy, that pause carries weight.

This edition remains in that suspended space; where structure settles, images gather tension, and emergence arrives on its own terms.

MITO UNIVERSE CREATIVE SPOTLIGHT: Manu Tegar | @manutegar

Manu Tegar operates at the threshold where computational logic meets corporeal presence, generating images that function as theoretical propositions about contemporary visuality. Working from Madrid as both graphic and brand designer at mendesaltaren, Tegar has turned toward artificial intelligence not as mere tool but as a collaborator in materializing what we might call the "post-human surface."

His imagery articulates a peculiar ontology: bodies rendered with hyperreal precision yet manifestly synthetic, existing in that uncanny zone where recognition falters. The sumo wrestlers locked in suspended combat, the flushed face suggesting either exertion or digital artifact, the translucent hand holding impossible light, the X-rayed computer mouse revealing its mechanical interiority, the model wearing a transparent mask; each image performs a kind of phenomenological experiment. They ask: what becomes visible when the algorithm interprets flesh, transparency, intensity?

Tegar's practice recalls Walter Benjamin's insight about mechanical reproduction, but inverts it. Here, the original itself is absent; only the generated surface remains. These are not representations but presentations—materialities that exist primarily as data configurations, bringing into appearance something that never was. The work suggests that AI doesn't simply reproduce our world but produces a parallel one, governed by different laws of coherence, where materiality itself becomes a theoretical question rather than a given condition.

Hannes Caspar | @caspar.jade

Hannes Caspar occupies a peculiar position within contemporary image-making—a photographer who has become what we might call a post-photographic director, orchestrating synthetic visions through algorithmic means while retaining the sensibility of someone trained in the indexical tradition. His work exemplifies what could be termed the “ontological blur” of AI-generated imagery: pictures that possess photographic texture and cinematic affect yet emerge from computational processes fundamentally alien to lens-based capture.

What distinguishes Caspar’s practice is the persistence of photographic intentionality within non-photographic production. The grain, the motion blur, the chromatic aberrations; these simulate not merely the appearance of analog film but its entire phenomenological framework. We encounter images that seem to remember being photographs, haunted by a materiality they never possessed. The hand behind the curtain, the fabric caught mid-flight, the blurred forest; each carries the temporal signature of exposure without having been exposed to anything.

This raises essential questions about authorship in the age of generative systems. Caspar describes making "many small decisions" that shape the image's effect, a process closer to curation or editorial direction than traditional creation. The work thus exists in productive tension: between human aesthetic judgment and machinic execution, between photographic heritage and computational futurity, between the real and its increasingly sophisticated simulation.

LTX by Lightricks has launched a new Storyboard Builder that reframes how AI video projects begin. Instead of prompting shot by shot, creators paste a script or idea and receive a fully structured storyboard; scenes, shots, beats, and reusable elements extracted automatically. Characters, objects, and locations stay consistent across the project, reducing visual drift and prompt chaos. The result: clearer direction, fewer iterations, and a workflow that prioritizes structure before generation. It’s less about making images faster; and more about building coherence first.

In testing MITO AI to create a conceptual fashion film for Gimaguas, graphic designer Laura López enters a peculiar temporal zone where the traditional production apparatus of cinema collapses into algorithmic instantiation. What emerges in these frames; the minimalist staging, the chrome sphere as pure indexical presence, the clock face inscribed with “gimaguas” like a corporate mandala; is less a film than a meditation on the conditions of image-making itself in our current moment.

López’s work holds particular significance for us not merely as observers but as collaborators who have witnessed her development. There is something profoundly moving in seeing a Laura grasp what Walter Benjamin might call the “optical unconscious” of AI: the way these tools reveal not human intention perfectly realized, but rather the strange materiality of datasets, the ghostly aesthetics of training corpora.

The fashion film format; itself a hybrid commercial-artistic form; becomes in López’s hands a site for investigating how AI collapses production time while preserving, even intensifying, the atmospheric duration of contemplation. Each frame possesses the uncanny stillness of images that never quite existed as photographs, that bypass the indexical trace of light on sensor. This is image-making as pure surface without depth, yet López stages this very condition as her subject, transforming limitation into critical reflection.
