SELECTED CREATORS
Alessia Gunawan / @alygunawan
Multimedia artist born in Jakarta, with Italian and Chinese-Indonesian roots. Her work explores the tension between visual over-saturation and the hidden layers of contemporary global culture. Alessia navigates photography, film, and AI with a precise visual language that transcends decorative excess.
Her project @sensorial.jpg (2023) explores CGI and employs hyper-saturated aesthetics, crafting immersive and evocative narratives.
We particularly highlight Luxury Steroids (2024), a critical take on femininity, aspiration, and aesthetic excess. Fully AI-crafted, the series unfolds in digital baroque interiors shaped by beauty tutorials, social performance, and the iconography of wealth. The result is a glossy hallucination of identity and desire — at once seductive and sharply observational.
Her approach to CGI — as seen in the immersive composition Platea (2023) for Alla Carta Magazine ISSUE 23 — demonstrates how generative environments can reframe symbolic spaces.
Arno Machado / @arno_________machado
Digital artist specializing in CGI, end-to-end 3D pipelines, and generative AI. His work explores synthetic realism and digital tactility through high-end CGI workflows.
With a strong technical foundation, Machado has delivered detailed textures and cutting-edge visual effects for leading brands such as Dior, Nike, Prada, Adidas, Salomon, and Mercedes.
His role often spans both creative leadership and technical execution — managing the full CGI pipeline from concept development through asset creation, lighting, VFX, and post-production. Beyond hyperreal simulation, Machado’s work reflects on how AI models and procedural systems shape visual culture and branded atmospheres that feel both artificial and emotionally resonant.
Alongside commissioned work, he regularly shares personal experiments in CGI and AI-generated imagery, pushing the boundaries of synthetic environments and virtual presence.

This week we highlight a video case study by Mónica Colomer, AI Producer and Senior Postproduction Director, showing the making of an AI-generated campaign for TwoJeys .
The video breaks down the layered composition process, revealing how AI-generated plates are combined to build the final image. It also includes outtakes — those usual trial-and-error moments when working with AI.
The piece shows how AI tools and human control work together, blending technical precision with creative adjustments to produce polished, intentional results.
